Promoting equal educational opportunities for our students, schools & communities

Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend and the encouragement you have shown to Dawn Schwartz. She was very excited about being nominated by two of her teachers. Considering that this was her first year back in public school after attending a Christian Classical Educational school for two years, learning classical literature, Latin and logic. She became excited about math after scoring in the 97 percentile in Math on the FCAT two years in a row which earn her a scholarship to Stetson with the High Achievers Talent Search (HATS) program. Last summer because of her A average, she qualified for a Robotic camp at Advance Technology College with the High Achievers Program. This sealed her faith about Engineering and Science. This weekend helped her realize that she came accomplish her dreams if she set goals and work hard. It was encouraging hearing all the enthusiastic speakers and all their accomplishments. As parents we are proud of her and all our children. I appreciate what FAAEA is doing to encourage our children as well as all African American students. So once again thank you and your organization for the wonderful job of keeping our children’s hope alive and informing the parents of opportunities available to us in the Florida public school system. We will take all that we have learned back to our church and community so that others will benefit. We are truly blessed.

Blessings,

Andrea Schwartz and Family

Our family had a wonderful time being encouraged and motivated by the FAAEA this past weekend. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to our children and our community. I was in awe of the young people who spoke during the conference. Their intellect, spirituality, and intelligence shone through. I hope that my sons and daughters will be a part of FAAEA for years to come. Daryl Bagley, Jr. is still on cloud nine after winning Student of the Year. He is very excited about the Ambassador's program. We are in the Tampa Bay Area and would love to spread the word about the need for more students, especially African American students, to engage in science, technology, engineering, and math! Thank you again for a wonderful event!!!

Sincerely,

Good Day FAAEA Directors,

I wanted to take the time to say thank you for the wonderful Recognition Program held on January 20-21. The guest speakers were enlightening as well as encouraging. The student nominees made me proud to be a part of the educator. Far too often our profession makes the news for what some deem to be short comings, but that evening the heavenly stars were shining brightly amongst us.
